Montalvo Strings is a Bay Area-based ensemble providing live music for weddings, private events, corporate functions, and special occasions throughout Northern California.

Founded in 2012, Montalvo Strings began as a small group of friends brought together by a shared love of music. Over the years, it has grown into a trusted collective of more than 15 professional musicians, allowing us to create customized ensembles tailored to each event. While we offer everything from solo performances to larger groups, our duos and trios are especially popular, providing a rich, elegant sound that complements a wide range of venues and celebrations.

Our musicians are classically trained performers with diverse backgrounds in private instruction, conservatory study, music education, chamber music, and symphony orchestras. Many have dedicated decades to their craft and continue to perform, teach, and contribute to the vibrant musical communities throughout the Bay Area.

We believe live music has the power to transform an event. Whether it’s a wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, proposal, corporate gathering, or private celebration, our goal is to create an atmosphere that feels elegant, personal, and memorable.

From timeless classical works to modern favorites, we work closely with each client to curate music that reflects their unique style and vision.

We also offer custom music arrangements created by our in-house arrangers, allowing couples to incorporate meaningful songs that may not traditionally exist for strings. In some cases, we create entirely original arrangements exclusively for a client, resulting in a one-of-a-kind performance crafted specifically for their event.
